Old Crafty Hen

Old Crafy Hen pours a beautiful reddish copper color with a head that leaves plenty of lacing as you enjoy this brew. The aroma is almost like a marsala wine; think boozy raisins. With an aroma like that you can expect an ale that’s on the sweeter side. Look for lots of fruit forward notes such as cherry and raisin on the palate. While the sweeter side of this beer is prominent, the hops and oak age do well to provide floral and citrus notes to create a nice balance. This vintage ale is best consumed on its own or with robust cheeses.
