Weihenstephaner Oktoberfestbier by Brauerei Weihenstephan

I love sampling fall beers, especially Oktoberfest style beers. I received a great one in my shipment this month. Weihenstephaner Oktoberfestbier pours a golden color with a thin white head that leaves some lacing on the glass. I particularly enjoyed tasting this brew as the hops took a more prominent role; unlike some other Oktoberfest style beers where bready malts are the focus. The hops have both herbal and citrus qualities that balanced well with the cracker-like malts. Some lingering sweetness finishes out the taste making this one very drinkable bier.
