Fraoch Heather Ale by Williams Brothers Brewing Company

I wasn’t sure what kind of beer to expect when I set out to try Fraoch Heather Ale in my shipment of beers this month. It pours a rusty orange color with a fluffy off-white head that leaves some lacing. The aromas are bright with floral hops and a touch of clover honey. The taste is even better! That touch of honey in the aroma carries through into the palate from the malts; which rounds out the beer nicely. Also in the mix are spice notes with a bit of crispness reminiscent of apple. The result is a fantastic beer to enjoy on a late summer evening or just as fall starts to settle in.
